    National Domestic Violence Hotline Dial Call 1-800-799-SAFE or Text Start to 88788: Offers essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse.

    New York State Crisis Helpline Dial 1-888-NYC-WELL: Offers a free, confidential helpline for New York City residents. You can call 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The staff of trained mental health professionals help callers find mental health and substance abuse services.

    California Non-Emergency Warmline Dial or Text 1-855-600-WARM: Provides mental and emotional support. Trained counselors will hold space, listen and support you. Get help to identify the path forward.

  • How to Pay for Therapy

    There are several ways to pay for therapy including through out-of-pocket funds, out-of network insurance benefits, using insurance and/or applying for grants that help to supplement the cost of therapy.

    Loveland Foundation: The Loveland Therapy Fund provides financial assistance to Black women and girls seeking therapy via grants.

    Open Path Collective: Serves clients who lack health insurance or whose health insurance doesn’t provide adequate mental health benefits.

    Sad Girls Club: Sad Girls Club is both an online platform and in real life community committed to bring young women together who are battling mental illnesses.

    Sober Black Girl: Provides resources and support to Black girls, women and nonconforming folks practicing sobriety, in recovery or considering it.

    Togather: A collective care platform for health justice. Provides education, community and resources to help address burnout experienced by healthcare providers.

    BEAM: BEAM is a national training, movement building, and grant making institution that is dedicated to the healing, wellness, and liberation of Black and marginalized communities. BEAM offers virtual groups and in-person events.
